What is the Difference Between HVAC and AC?

"AC" and HVAC" are two commonly used terms in the heating and cooling industry. In fact, they actually overlap. HVAC is a more comprehensive term that stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; AC just stands for air conditioning.

Types of Systems

Systems can be designed in so many different ways, but are usually found with separate heating and cooling components. If you already have a whole-home heating system but are looking for a new AC, we can help (at a later date).

There are 2 alternatives to a traditional HVAC system: hybrid and ductless. A hybrid system allows the owners to switch between gas and electricity. Ductless or mini-splits are independent units that are installed in individual rooms for a more controlled environment. They're recommended for home additions, garages, sunrooms, and older homes.
